For the safety and convenience of the Authority
and the customer, the installation of an
approved back flow preventer and hand valve are
required at the water meter box. These
approved valves are available for purchase at
our office located at 2848 Lee Road 243 in
Smiths Station, AL. We do not require that
these items be purchased from our office.
We offer this as as convenience to our customers
and sell these required parts at cost. We
suggest that if you choose to purchase your back
flow preventer and hand flow valve from another
source, you check with our office to assure
acceptability before installation in the water
system. Any sub-standard valves will
require replacement at the cost of the customer.
The total cost of these two items if purchased
at the Authority office is: $50.00
